First attend our legislative advocacy forum on March 3rd from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mike Walsh, Ph.D, Director of Interior Services for The Foraker Group will conduct training on The Rules of Advocacy and What Your Organization Can Do, and Strategic Advocacy Planning: Knowing What to Say and How to Say It. In addition, new laws from the Alaska Public Office Commission will be discussed. The cost for the workshop is $50.
Tuesday, March 4th will include breakfast and registration, followed by a morning session focused on our legislative priorities for Alaska business. The Issues of the 25th Legislature will be presented in a keynote luncheon featuring the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate. All sessions will be held at the Westmark Baranof Hotel. During the afternoon attendees will meet up on the hill with members of eight Senate and House committees; and, follow with a visit to the Governor's Mansion (pending) and evening reception with State Legislators.
The third and final day, Wednesday, March 5th will begin at the Westmark Baranof Hotel with a legislative forum and keynote luncheon. Board members will gather for an afternoon board meeting between 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. at Centennial Hall.
The cost of registration is $175 and includes the reception. Reception only cost is $25.
